RCA Photography Auction
Apologies to those of you who may have been eagerly anticipating the 2007 auction. Due to lack of funding, the RCA Photography Auction has been postponed until further notice.
However, the 2nd RCA Photography Graduate Award of £3000 raised through last year's auction went ahead in November 2007.
Since 2005, auction proceeds have been going towards a newly established fund which enables RCA Photography graduates to realise a project upon the completion of their degree. Beneficiaries of the fund are selected by a panel of established gallerists, curators and writers.
I am pleased to announce this year's panel, chaired by the Head of the RCA Photography Department, Olivier Richon, consisted of:

Due to the success of the 2004 and 2005 event, the 3rd RCA Photography Auction
is on its way. Once again, offering a range of unmounted prints from some
of the most exciting and inspiring fine art photographers, students, recent
graduates, emerging and established artists.
With previous years' prices ranging between £50-£1200, the auction provides an opportunity for anyone passionate about photography to acquire contemporary photographic prints.
The first auction in 2004 was sponsored by agnès b and ArtReview
and supported by the RCA and the Great Eastern Hotel. It was organised
by RCA Photography graduates to raise funds for the production of
the 2004 Photography Degree Show catalogue.
Since 2005 proceeds go towards a newly established fund which enables RCA Photography
graduates to realise a project upon the completion of their degree.
Beneficiaries of the fund will be selected by a panel of established
gallerists, curators and critics.
The first award of £4000 raised through last year's event will be presented at the 2006 auction. This fundraiser aims to become an annual fixture on the art calendar and support RCA graduates for years to come.
This year's auction will be conducted as a digital slide presentation by Brooke Perrin. From mid-September all prints on sale and more information on this year’s event will be available online and throughout agnès b shops.

We will accept payment
by cash, major credit or debit cards. Please note that all card
transactions will be subject to a 5% surcharge. Cheques will be
accepted with a proof of address and a valid guarantee card.

Elina Jokipii and Dafna Talmor are 2004 RCA Photography graduates
and organisers of the 2004 and 2005 event.
